Five things your store handles out of the box

Orders for a specific day, without phone calls

At checkout the customer picks a delivery day, and a time slot too when you deliver yourself. The store only offers dates it can meet, because it knows your order cut-off, public holidays and the days you do not deliver. In the morning you open the production screen and see what to prepare and for whom.

The gift goes to the recipient, the invoice to the buyer

The buyer enters the recipient, the occasion and a card message, and for funeral flowers a ribbon inscription too. The recipient can be notified on the morning of delivery, so the surprise stays a surprise. For gifts the store offers neither cash on delivery nor pickup, because someone else receives the goods.

The invoice issues itself when the payment arrives

Once an order is paid, an invoice is created under your country’s VAT law and emailed to the customer. Number sequences have no gaps, and a credit note always refers to the original invoice. On a day you choose, your accountant receives a file for KROS OMEGA or a CSV, plus PDFs of all the month’s documents.

Slovakia and Czechia from one admin

Each market has its own currency, language, domain, prices, shipping and invoice number sequence. Catalogue, stock and orders stay in one place. We only open a country once we have verified ten obligations, from VAT to archiving documents.

A store that does not keep you up at night

Your store runs as two instances, so customers do not notice when one restarts. Monitoring checks stores every two minutes and also reports silent failures, such as a paid order without an invoice. A backup is made every night, and it only counts once we have restored it in a test.

Product sets

Several products in one offer, with a saving or a free gift. When the promotion ends, the set really can no longer be bought, so “valid until” is always true.

A hand-picked add-on and a pricier alternative right on the product page, not a random pick from the category.

An offer based on what the customer has chosen, with a discount that lasts 30 minutes.

Free shipping or a free gift

A bar in the basket shows how much is left to reach the reward. Up to four thresholds in the market’s currency.

Basket reminder

First a gift after six hours, a discount only after two days. You do not give away your margin from the start.

Bundles and add-ons

An add-on question after a product goes into the basket, and a larger variant for the price difference. The Engine is included in your plan.

An assistant that does the work but never touches the money

In the admin it tells you where to find things and does routine work too: it drafts a product, edits page copy or shipping, or changes prices in bulk. You decide whether it only advises, makes changes after your approval, or makes changes on its own. It does not change payment status, refunds or customer orders.

  • Product pages written from manufacturer data, with a filter that catches sentences the model made up.
  • You pay from credit only for what is actually used. Credit never goes below zero.

From sign-up to your own domain in three steps

  1. Create your store

    Enter the name, market and company details, then confirm your email. The store is live straight away at yourname.portican.com with four sample products.

  2. Fill in what is missing

    The Getting started screen works out what is still needed: look and feel, content, company details, shipping, payment and legal texts.

  3. Connect your domain

    A wizard shows the DNS records and checks them. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Portican cost?

An online store starts on the Free plan at €0, with no time limit. Paid plans run from €29 to €399 a month for the whole store, excluding VAT, and your order count decides which one you are on. We take no cut of your sales.

What happens after the 50th order on Free?

The store keeps accepting orders. You can see and process them once you move to a paid plan.

Do customer payments go through Portican?

No. The payment gateway is on your own contract and the money lands directly in your account. Card numbers never reach us.

Am I tied into a contract?

No. The contract has no fixed term and is billed monthly, and you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the billing period. When it ends, you can request your data within 30 days in a machine-readable format.

Where is my data hosted?

Store servers are in Vienna, and photos and backups are in storage in the EU. Text for AI features is processed by OpenAI, and only when you use the feature.

Can I sell to Czechia?

Yes. Slovakia and Czechia are open, each market with its own currency, domain and invoices. We only open further countries after verifying the obligations.

Will you write my terms and conditions?

No. The admin shows which documents your market requires and gives you an editor for them. The wording comes from your lawyer.
